Royal Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Vase, 19th Century, Attributed to Florrie Jones

Royal Doulton Lambeth small stoneware vase, 19th century. Royal Doulton back stamp and artist initials, FJ, for Florrie Jones, clearly impressed on the bottom of the vase. Dimensions: Diameter approximately 3.5 inches, height approximately 4.3 inches.

About the Artist. Florrie Jones was a Senior Assistant at Lambeth for many years. Little is known about her personal life or even how long she worked at Doultons, except that she was at Doulton Lambeth before it became Royal Doulton in 1902 and was still there in 1928.

Like many of her colleagues, Jones likely earned her ‘long service medal,’ where 40 and 50 years of service were relatively common.
