Description
Timeless and delightful stoneware jardiniere in glazed finish with sgraffito work by Hannah Barlow demonstrating her deep love of animals – ponies, sheep, and two resting dogs, surrounded by foliate borders and white beaded pattern completed by Hanna’s sister, Lucy Barlow with assistant artist Harriet E. Hibbut. The artists’ initials are incised on the underside. Numbered 393 and 436, and dated to 1884.
Dimensions are 8.5 inches wide by 7.5 inches high.
