About Mark V Marshall: ย A significant figure in the art world, Mark V. Marshall began his journey at the Lambeth School of Art. He then worked at a local masonโ€™s yard before joining Doulton in 1874, where he worked alongside other masters such as Hannah Barlow and George Tinworth. While at the mason’s yard, he also worked with the famous Martin Brothers pottery, where those early experiences likely honed his skills at creating grotesque figures modeled in high relief, often hiding among other design elements.

His work at Doulton is astonishing, representing some of the most daring and vibrant pieces ever produced. To read more about Marshall and other Doulton Artists, click HERE.
