The vessel’s surface bursts to life with a vibrant tubelined display of blue and purple delphiniums, their blossoms dancing amid lush green foliage atop a creamy ground. Peer inside to discover a captivating deep cobalt blue glaze, which also graces the bottom edge, adding a sense of depth and luxury. On the base, you’ll find the storied Moorcroft Stoke-on-Trent factory stamp, the distinctive 2023-year cipher, and Emma Bossons’ own hand-painted signature—a trio of marks certifying authenticity and artistry. This vase is further distinguished by its hand-painted numbering, 11/30, and a special inscription commemorating the 6th May 2023 Coronation of King Charles III. About Emma Bossons. Emma began her ceramics career at Mason’s Ironstone, a Wedgwood subsidiary in Stoke-on-Trent, painting pottery through a government training program. She joined Moorcroft Pottery as a painter in 1996 and advanced to the Design Studio two years later, becoming their youngest designer. Her debut range, Hepatica, and the iconic Queen’s Choice collection are now considered modern classics—coveted by collectors and admired for their artistry.

In 2002, Emma’s Golden Jubilee design earned the honor of featuring the Royal Cypher, marking her as a rising star. She later became the youngest female Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and was recognized by Royal Mail alongside Josiah Wedgwood and Sir Henry Doulton.
Emma is celebrated for her exquisite, detailed pottery—each piece a work of art inspired by the beauty of nature. Her vibrant designs and masterful technique mark her creations as treasures destined to become antiques of the future, growing in value as they are passed down through generations.
Now Moorcroft’s Head of Design, Emma has led projects like the first pottery advent box and the new Moorcroft Home line, aiming to bring Moorcroft’s artistry to more spaces. Her leadership continues to drive the brand’s creative evolution.
