The pattern that launched the Moorcroft brand at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair and continued until about 1906; this beautiful Florian pattern vase is recognizable by its variety of soft-colored blooms accentuated by slip trailing (tube lining) and made for Liberty & Co.

Description
A beautifully hand-painted bowl in a fern-green and ocean-blue glaze. It is decorated with excellent detailed tube-lining of bloomed poppies and leaves. Signed by the artist, William Moorcraft, himself! Made For Liberty & Co. with a back stamp on the underside. Measures 7″ W x 3.25″ H.
It was following his debut of this organically inspired Florian line at the 1904 Saint Louis International Exhibition that Moorcroft’s reputation as a world-class designer was firmly established. Through his hand-signed pieces, he quickly became widely recognized.
